The Union County Sheriff's Office
Administration Division
The Clerical Support Staff of the Sheriff's Office consists of four civilian employees. An Administrative Assistant to the Sheriff, a Criminal History Analyst, and two Clerks. Each person has her own responsibilities and duties each day, but all are cross-trained to insure that all positions are covered in the event of absences due to sickness and or vacations.
The Administrative Assistant to the Sheriff acts as the General Office Manager and supervises the work of the Criminal History Analyst and the Two Clerks. She handles all the Personal Secretary Duties for the Sheriff and generally assists all of the employees in the Sheriff's Office with their duties. She also works closely with the Command Staff in preparing the annual budgets for the Sheriff's office. The Administrative Assistant assures that all areas of the office run smoothly and efficiently within our annual budget.
The Criminal History Analyst works daily with bookings, dispositions, criminal history checks, ticket inventory, N.C.I.C. validation, time sheets, subpoenas, orders of destruction, and other office duties when time permits.
The two Clerks answer the several telephone lines at the Sheriff's Office. Some of their duties include the filing of all civil process and criminal warrants received by the Sheriff's Office and disbursing them to the Deputies for service, the daily processing of incident reports, supplemental reports, pawn tickets, and greeting and assisting visitors that come into the Sheriff's Office , as well as providing Criminal History Checks for housing and employment applications.
